Claude Skills questions
A Skill is a folder of instructions, reference files and optional scripts that Claude can load when a task needs it. It teaches Claude a specific way of working, such as your report format or review checklist.
No. A Skill gives Claude specialised knowledge and steps for a task; it isn't a standalone application or an autonomous agent. Where you need actions in other systems, we build those connections separately and say clearly what they can do.
A Skill itself is instructions and files. Connections to your tools come from connectors (such as MCP servers) or APIs, where your Claude setup supports them. We scope both together.
Skills work across Claude's apps, Claude Code and the API, subject to your plan and settings. We'll confirm what's available in your setup before we build.
Yes, we build custom Skills for any well-defined task. We'll be upfront if a task needs something beyond a Skill, such as an integration or a custom application.
